**Basha High School Air Force Junior ROTC Completes Aerospace Education Field Trip in California**

Basha High School's Air Force Junior ROTC, based in Chandler, Arizona, recently completed their annual Aerospace Education Field Trip to California, with 11 cadets participating. The trip, organized to inspire and educate the cadets about aerospace and related fields, included stops at several major locations.

The cadets visited the Palm Springs Air Museum, the Reagan Presidential Library, the Griffith Observatory, the Petersen Automotive Museum, the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and Vandenberg Space Force Base. These visits provided the students with firsthand exposure to aerospace history, science, and technology.

A significant moment of the trip occurred at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), where the cadets and their instructors donated to the Caltech and JPL Disaster Relief Fund. This contribution was made in response to recent California fires that severely impacted the JPL community. The fires displaced 200 JPL employees, including one of the JPL docents who guided the group during their visit.

The cadets also had the unique opportunity to tour the Space Flight Operations Facility at JPL. This facility is integral to NASA's interplanetary and deep space exploration missions, providing the students with a glimpse into the management of groundbreaking scientific endeavors.

This educational trip allowed the cadets to learn more about aerospace technology, history, and the challenges faced by professionals in the field. The initiative underscores the dedication of Chandler Unified Schools to providing students opportunities for real-world learning and community service.
