A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Roadrunner Motors facility took place today, involving students from the Rattler Automotive Careers Education (RACE) Academy at Rancho Mirage High School. The event was held at the College of the Desert, which is located between Lexus and Subaru on Highway 111 in Cathedral City.

The Roadrunner Motors facility is expected to be completed by the summer of 2026. It aims to expand higher education, internship, and career opportunities for students in the automotive industry.

Attendees of the ceremony included Cami Saliba, a College and Career Teacher on Special Assignment, College of the Desert officials, automotive program instructors, members of the Cathedral City Council, and other community partners.
