Palm Springs Hosts First Annual Pickleball Tournament

The Palm Springs Police Department is hosting the first annual Pickleball Tournament on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at the Kimpton Rowan Hotel. The tournament will begin at 8:00 AM, with check-in starting at 7:00 AM.

The entry fee for the tournament is $50 per person, and is open to individuals aged 18 and older in women's, men's, and mixed doubles categories. Late registration will be available on the day of the event for $75, provided the event is not sold out. Payments can be made by cash or checks, which can be mailed to P.O. Box 1830, Palm Springs, CA 92263, or brought to the Palm Springs Police Department station.

Participants will compete for custom-made championship medals. The proceeds from the tournament will support the "Shop with a Cop" event scheduled for December, which provides children in need the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts alongside law enforcement members.

The early registration deadline for the tournament is November 17, 2024. Interested individuals are encouraged to register promptly, as spaces are limited. Further registration details can be found on the Palm Springs city website.
